(Backup) Lapses

So clearly I've not posted in awhile....we made it back from the US and survived a cold, wet summer where we cleaned out a lot of cupboards!  School has been back for two weeks now for the little kids.

Sulking pup over his muZzle...wouldn't walk any further. Just laid down in the road till I took it off.

Summer Holidays!

Horse shows in July

Highland Show & village visits

Catching up with photos

Girls were gone to a brownies sleepover at the safari park. Local youths decided to camp across the hills---like father, like son!

Late night sewing teachers' gifts

Adele with daddy for a quick date to London for the night.

She cancelled the last two nights of her tour so we felt really lucky to have seen her (along with 98000 others at Wembley!) she was amazing.

Winding Up

We've had nursery graduation and The Highland Show this week.

Small town Saturday Night

When we're not throwing rocks in the burn, we entertain ourselves watching walkers and wanna be campers across the road trying to brace the field with the Highland cows. Supercool!

Busting out the Glad Rags

No rest for the wicked

We are in the long days of June, which is a good thing as there is SOOO much to get done right now. Daddy had a great trip to South Aftrica and wants us all to go with him no next time, he's running at work (not helped by a smashed back car tail gate--an accident of one of his employees--but means Murphy can't ride back there!), mum finished a quilt, kids have activities, mum and dad went to A wedding reception, then on Father's Day it was shearing at the farm, lawn mowing and the usual weekend chores. Mum's in job interview season, which is also school report season and we have school sports day, nursery graduation and The normal battle to stay on top of the house and garden. It was lovey and warm yesterday (but meant we were woken before 5 by the peacock outside our open window!)
The kids finished their year of swimming lessons and did really well--levels 7,6 and 4.  All those early Saturday mornings paying off!

June

Counting the days down until school is done (17!) but finding ways to entertain themselves afterschool.  Got radishes out of the garden and the decided to have a go at modelling.

Two for Tuesdays

I sorted the number plates on my car (the old owner had a bizarre personalised number I got rid of for a normal plate. So I can now call my car 'Yentl' and sing show tunes to it 😁.

After weeks of minimal rain, we got hammered today. Some places were reporting over 6inchs. It's cold too!

The little two finished their Tuesday music class so we got pizza for tea. Living it up!

The day is complete

We've had our taco birthday tea, played with all the new legos, everything Moana, and hamster village bits, used the wheelbarrow to clean out the guinea pigs and had grannie and anne up for cake.  Overall, a successful birthday Sunday! Only 365 days until next year's... and no doubt she will start the countdown again soon

Morning has broken

She invaded my bed sometime after midnight and I was up by 6:20 encouraging her to open her presents. Hopefully it will make for an early night at least!

She got a 'shrinkables' kit from one of her mates and was busy making keychains yesterday. They are really cute.
