Two for Tuesdays

I sorted the number plates on my car (the old owner had a bizarre personalised number I got rid of for a normal plate. So I can now call my car 'Yentl' and sing show tunes to it 😁.

After weeks of minimal rain, we got hammered today. Some places were reporting over 6inchs. It's cold too!

The little two finished their Tuesday music class so we got pizza for tea. Living it up!

The day is complete

We've had our taco birthday tea, played with all the new legos, everything Moana, and hamster village bits, used the wheelbarrow to clean out the guinea pigs and had grannie and anne up for cake.  Overall, a successful birthday Sunday! Only 365 days until next year's... and no doubt she will start the countdown again soon

Morning has broken

She invaded my bed sometime after midnight and I was up by 6:20 encouraging her to open her presents. Hopefully it will make for an early night at least!

She got a 'shrinkables' kit from one of her mates and was busy making keychains yesterday. They are really cute.

Disappointment

What else do you give a child for the birthday who asks for a wheelbarrow and a box of latex gloves?! Wouldn't want to disappoint her...

Her birthday bowling mates meal

Guess what's not far from the airport??

"Are we there yet?"

Longest week in history--the week leading up to A's birthday. Lots to do with mum working, driving to Inverness to pick up a new car, birthday tea and bowling with her mates, our favourite fake fourth child coming up, driving daddy to the airport and checking out the amazingly successful garden.
I'm ready for a four day nap!

Friday night farm fun

What else do you do on a Friday night when your favourite uncle is down? Family BBQ of last year's harvest, Break out the clay pigeons and air rifle and teach the kids how to shoot.
Then a good Sunday walk with the dogs to clear the cobwebs and enjoy the hill tops. Lots of big cotton but even the reeds are crunchy dry! Warm enough I wasn't bothered that my foot slipped and I fell in the burn. Not very normal for the UK at all.

Still lovely out!!

Driest month on record but I'm not complaining. Garden is growing like mad.
Lunch with my favourite date at the clubhouse.

Lots has happened this month---job interviews, glasses for mum, nice weather, more dog walking, hearing appointments and lots of noisy fowl at the house!

(Backup) Dog Grooming Trip

Ah, that time of year when we head up the Sma' Glen to our favourite dog groomer and spend the day near Loch Tay.  Ferg's best fake little brother was along for the trip and we had a lovely day In the sunshine! Things started out a bit rocky as we couldn't find the dog cage (and Murp gets car sick) but mum's friend saved us and let us have our old one she'd been keeping her lambs in back for the day. After dropping a VERY stinky Charlie (and Murph) at the groomer we headed up to the fun fabric store which now has a playground. When we walked in Ferg groaned, and H exclaimed 'How lovely!' (A phrase straight out of his Nana's lips).  I burst out laughing. They were fine u til they spotted the playground outside and then any peace was gone. We only had a little while until it was deer feeding time down the road, so we headed off for that, to meet the owl, play on their playground, ride the tractors and have a cake. Before we knew it it was time to pick up the dogs and get the girls from school. Election Day too and the sun is still out!
